  • You are NOT supposed to be in isolation at the time the event commences as per current government guidelines.
  • You agree to not cover up any cough or cold, and will remove yourself or anyone accompanying you that have these symptoms.
  • You will READ AND AGREE at the point of entry of your routines – THIS IS A STRICT MUST DO!
  • Without agreement on your entry, your entry will not be processed.
  • The hosting of this event is subject to the evolving impact of the COVID-19 pandemic.
  • EBSDN will take all steps necessary to ensure that the event is compliant with rules and guidelines issued by the Government leading up to and at the time of the event.
  • If at any point the GOVERNMENT changes the rulings of events, and the venue moves our date.
  • We will make the move to have this event online, it is the only way forward, if COVID-19 or a snap lockdown occurs.  We have successfully held online events, and I feel secure in the knowledge that it will be successful.
  • Performers MUST sanitise their hands when they go on and off stage.
  • We also ask that you bring your own hand sanitiser, we will have hand sanitiser, but ask you bring your own as well.
  • All performers will sit in the audience with their parent or guardian.
  • Performers MUST bring a mat to warm up on.
  • EBSDN will not be selling spectator tickets for any 2022 events.
  • Due to COVID-19 occupancy rules, limits and restrictions.
  • We will include in each SOLOISTS entry fees, ONE spectator ticket.
  • This is ONLY for SOLOS!! 
  • All performer passes are non refundable; they are part of the condition of entry.
  • Additional spectators for solo performances will be dependent on the number of entries and if we can, you will be able to purchase PASSES online 2 weeks before the competition, online - www.ebsdn.com
  • As per normal solos will be done in age block groups!

  • Troupes will be required to pay the performer fee 2 weeks out from competition, via a sticky ticket link that we will send to studio owners. All studios will need to submit a list of names for all performers in troupes, this is for numbers at the venue.  If performer fee is paid at the venue it will be $45.00

  • Novice Troupes - 4 minutes 

  • SECTION DEFINITIONS
  • SPECIALLY RESTRICTED: For performers who have not placed or won at any competition.
  • RESTRICTED: For performers who have never placed 1st in any recognised eisteddfod or dance competition, in the style they wish to enter.
  • MY FIRST SOLO: This is for Performers who are performing their very first SOLO.
  • MY FIRST TIME ON POINTE: A routine that consists of ballet/pointe technique. Pointe shoes must be worn.
  • NOVICE TROUPES: A troupe of dancers that may be new to the stage and competitions. 
  • 80% of the troupe must be comprised of Non-Open Dancers. 
  • Adjudicators will be able to know the differience between Novice Troupes and Non Novice Troupes. 
  • Troupes will be split into genre sections pending the number of entries. 
  • Troupe Age Groups
  • Pre Junior:  5 to 7 years.
  • Pre Teen  9  – 12 years. 
  • Teen 13 yrs and Over 

  • Late Entry, Charges, Cancellations and Admittance
  • Everybody Sing and Dance Now will not accept late entries.
  • Once an entry has been received there is NO REFUND.
  • NO refunds will be issued after your entry has been received.
  •  You cannot ask for a refund for change of mind, not performing any longer, clash with another competition or occasion. 
  • There is a fee to transfer to another EBSDN competition $20.00.

  • REFUNDS - PLEASE READ
  • If there is a COVID outbreak, we will  move everyone to the next competition or we will move the competition online.
  • By entering the competition, you agree that we are to provide an event that is a competition where your competitor is adjudicated by an adjudicator and given an award if deemed so.
  • EBSDN reserves the right to change competition days or move location due to unforeseen or catastrophic circumstances and entries will not be refunded, they will be credited.
  • Once entries are received, NO refunds will be given for any cancellations, withdrawals, or no shows.
  • No refunds will be made if you are unable to attend.
  • No refunds for change of mind/ clash with studio or family event or any other reason.
  • We are unable to offer a credit if you withdraw, your performer decides not to continue performing anymore, or you simply do not turn up to the event.
  • We DO NOT provide refunds for change of mind, change of mind regarding EBSDN rules, clash with another competition, commitment or if you simply change your mind. 
  • If you have made a mistake (e.g., double entries) or the dancer is injured (with proof) we can if we have room, transfer to another one of our events, cost of transfer $20.
  • Everybody Sing and Dance Now, does reserve the right to change competition days or move the location due to COVID/ Unforeseen circumstances or Catastrophic Events.
  • When entering through the website an invoice will be emailed to you.
  • Under Consumer Law there are limited circumstances where refunds are permitted.
  • These circumstances generally relate to where the services provided are not rendered with due care and skill or in compliance with a specified purpose or provided within a reasonable time.
  • They do not include circumstances where you change your mind or are unable to attend to for any reason.
  • The plea of lack of knowledge of the rules will not be accepted as a bona-fide reason for the infringement of any rule.
  • The use of photos or videos for marketing purposes is granted to EBSDN upon receipt of paid entry.
  • Entry to the competition is subject to you agreeing to all the rules.

  • INDEMNITY
  • All attendees, including but not limited to, Dancers, Singers, Parents/Care Givers, Teachers, Directors, Volunteers and Patrons, indemnify and keep indemnified Everybody Sing and Dance Now ( EBSDN) and its committee members and operators on both a commercial and personal basis against all actions, suits,proceedings, claims, demands, costs, and expenses whatsoever which may be made against the registered EBSDN and or its volunteer members in carrying out the duties and requirements in terms of the event and these rules.

  • PLEASE READ REFUND SECTION ABOVE.
  • Everybody Sing and Dance Now reserve the right to refuse entry to any person.
  • On entry you give your consent for Everybody Sing and Dance Now to use and retain the name and image of your child for the purposes of public relations, media and promotion in print or through the EBSDN Facebook page and website.
  • This consent would remain in place for 3 years.
  • Entries must be received by the closing date.
  • You cannot make changes once program has been finalised.
  • Everybody Sing and Dance Now reserves the right to combine low section numbers.

  • UPLOADING TO MUSIC UPLOADS
  • Everybody Sing and Dance Now - Use's Music Uploads
  • Music Uploads Management -  It’s contactless, all online, and will help take out the stress of music issues that arise from time to time, Plus they offer Voice critiques and all in one storage location including the option to access the routine videos.
  • As a requirement to enter into the competition you will be required to upload your music via this service," in the given time period" no other options will be given.
  • No CDs ,USB’s will be used now as we are using this system totally contactless.
  • Music Uploads offer this service and include features that will handle our music. This is a low cost paid service, (less than the cost of a USB) and includes a full range of benefits for The Dancers, Parents, and Studio owners, and event organisers. You will be required to have a valid "music upload cloud storage" that will allow you to store your Music, Voice Critiques, and Routine Videos all in one location.
  • Plans are charged at a Minimum of 3 to 12 months starting at less than $1/month, Plus your music can be transferred to other participating competitions all over Australia without having to re upload your music each time.

  • Region Add-Ons
  • For each competition that is entered, you will need to add a region to your cloud account. This will link the Music, Critiques and Videos so they can be transferred or viewed from one to the other. The fee for this is per Family, Studio or School is $2.50, and there is no limit to siblings or students, it will just depend on your selected storage plan.

  • How it Works
  • If you have already uploaded your music to this service before, you can simply purchase the region add-on, and transfer your music over to us.
  • If you are new to this, you need to set up the cloud storage account first and confirm it is active.
  • Upload your Music into the Storage Folder in your account.
  • Transfer a copy of the songs to the Region, you can check them to make sure they are all correct. Done! No need to stress about your music now, as you now can see the music is 100% ready to go.Just Remember, It is the responsibility of the competitors to ensure that they have the correct music files uploaded to each routine. You can change your music files at any time before the cutoff dates, and this is all done within your Music Uploads  account, you have full control over this from now.

  • WHERE DO WE GET OUR VOICE CRITIQUES
  • You will ask, where do we get our voice critiques?
  • The answer is - log into musicuploads.com.au look to the Top Left corner on the Dashboard page, You will see a  “ML” icon, This is where your critiques will be.
  • Critiques will be uploaded either on the day or that night.
  • To access these, log into your Music Uploads account and on the main dashboard page, look to the top Left of the screen or on a mobile device click on the Menu list.
  • If the onsite video company is collaborating with Music Uploads they will deliver your videos directly into your storage account as well.

  • SUPPORT
  • If you would like some support there are videos located on the support page or you can send a ticket in, and one of the team members will respond to you. DO NOT Post on Social Media , Text or Message any questions to these pages, as the support team will not see them. You must send a ticket from the support page so they can offer you some assistance.

  • CHOREOGRAPHY ​OWNERSHIP.
  • Parents, Dancers and Teachers/Choreographers - Please be aware of what routines are being performed.
  • If a student has left a dance studio please ensure you have permission from past choreographers/teachers to be able to continue to perform routines who's ownership may be in question at any competition.
  • Please understand that disputes in regards to this must be mediated and handled with class on not on the social media platform, or the event itself by the parties involved.
  • Failure to do so we will see disqualification for all parties involved.
  • If on social media Everybody Sing and Dance Now is named for allowing a routine to go on stage EBSDN.
  • We will not get involved in this, we simply ask that you do the right thing.

  • PROPS
  • No props unless they can be handled by the dancers (troupes and soloists) with no volunteer or adult help allowed to prevent contact and transference issues.
  • Special permission may be sought if absolutely necessary and safety procedures implemented.
  • Props cannot be stored backstage or anywhere on site as this takes up square meterage limiting the amount of dancers allowed even further!
  • Please ensure you are regularly cleaning your space with disinfectant.
  • Ensure all items are clean and the change room is left in order and disinfected at the end of your age groups and upon vacating.

  • IMPORTANT INFORMATION
  • By entering Everybody Sing and Dance Now you agree to abide by the rules and regulations as outlined in our Syllabus.
  • Everybody Sing and Dance Now public liability does not comprehensively cover injury to performers therefore individuals and studios must ensure that they are adequately covered whilst performing or otherwise enter at their own risk.
  • By entering Everybody Sing and Dance Now, you give consent  to use and retain the name and image of your child for the purposes of public relations, media and promotion in print or through our social media and website. This consent would remain in place for 3 years unless you advise otherwise.
  • Rules and Regulations pertaining to each section are outlined in this Syllabus and will not be repeated in the program.
  • Changes to some rules may occur from year to year, therefore it is imperative that all instructions are read carefully. Disqualification may follow if rules are not observed.
  • Time limits stated are maximum allowed.
  • Cameras are not permitted and mobile phones must be switched off at all times in dressing rooms and backstage areas.
  • Competitors must change in dressing rooms and public areas are not be utilised as change rooms.
  • No food or drink permitted in dressing rooms apart from bottled water.
  • Absolutely no rehearsing in corridors, passageways or side stage.
  • Bullying - Everybody Sing and Dance Now, does not tolerate bullying, including inappropriate comments or actions. This will NOT be tolerated at ANY - Everybody Sing and Dance Now event and will result in instant disqualification, upon investigation.
  • Repeats - Performers in Open Sections from 9yrs and over cannot repeat their dance after forgetting it, they will be judged on what they have performed.
  • They will not be eligible for a place.
  • Repeats will be allowable for younger age groups at the discretion of the adjudicator.
  • Repeats in restricted sections 9/under after breakdown, will be able to repeat their performance for the adjudicator and marked on such an attempt.

  • FIRST AID BE SAFE BE PREPARED!
  • Not all venues have the facilities for ice-packs.
  • iT IS EXPECTED IF YOU HAVE AN ASMATIC YOU HAVE A PUFFER AND A SPACER.
  • Each Studio and Soloist MUST provide their own first aid person, ice, and first aid kit for TROUPES!
  • Everybody Sing and Dance Now volunteers and staff are not responsible for providing any first aid equipment or ice/heat products.

  • DISCLAIMER
  • Photographs/recordings of participants by any of the Everybody Sing and Dance Now  staff, contractors, or members of the press become the property of Everybody Sing and Dance Now and may be used for future publicity.
  • The use of photos and videos for marketing purposes is granted to Everybody Sing and Dance Now upon receipt of a paid entry. This consent would remain in place for 4 years.
  • Everybody Sing and Dance Now and its organizers are not responsible for any injuries incurred and your registration and participation mean implied consent. {Please read safety and injury}
  • Third party photos are strictly prohibited, Everybody Sing and Dance Now reserves the right to control and mandate all venue images, the sale of any photos for profit from a Everybody Sing and Dance Now competition by any third party vendor, studio or patron is strictly prohibited.

  • SAFTEY AND INJURY
  • Participating in sport or dance competitions can be rigorous and result in injury.
  • They can include, but not limited to, sprains, bruises, pulled muscles, and broken bones.
  • Participation in Everybody Sing and Dance Now indicates the acceptance of such risks by performers and troupes.
  • Therefore, by virtue of entering this event, it is agreed that participants will not hold Everybody Sing and Dance Now or its officers, directors, staff, volunteers responsible for any sustained injuries sustained or illness contracted by them while in attendance and /or participating in any activity related to Everybody Sing and Dance Now
  • Everybody Sing and Dance Now and the hosting venues are not responsible for personal injury to contestants, spectators or staff.
  • The safety of our competition dancers, spectators and staff  is paramount at all EBSDN events.
  • Due to Everybody Sing and Dance Now being a public event we encourage all attendees.
  • Please supervise children at all times.
  • It is advisable that if you have a child under 13yrs of age, an adult should please, go to the toilet with them.
  • Please be responsible for YOUR personal belongings.
  • Please be aware of surroundings and inform an Everybody Sing and Dance staff member of unsuitable or suspicious activity.

  • If you at the time of the event live in a hot spot area, we will transfer you to another one of our events, or we could stream you in to the live one you entered into.
  • Due to COVID-19 occupancy rules, limits and restrictions EBSDN will not be selling spectator tickets for any 2021 events, at the door, all performer fees include - The performer and TWO GUESTS ONLY!
  • TEACHERS we do require you to let us know if you will be attending, parents it would be a GREAT idea if you purchased your teachers a ticket.
  • Additional spectators for solo performances will be dependent on the number of entries and tickets will be online - ONLY.
  • As per normal solos and duos will be done in age groups!
  • We also ask that you bring your hand sanitiser, we will have hand sanitiser, but ask you bring your own as well.

  • Hair or makeup changes, can be made outside the venue.
  • Performers will need to sanitise their hands when they go on and off stage.
  • Performers are also required if dancing barefeet, they sanitise their feet as well.
  • We ALL have to adopt the ‘get in dance get out’ policy suggested by the AIS and  Aus Dance.

  • RULES AND REGULATIONS
  • Unless otherwise stated, Everybody Sing and Dance Now is for amateur performers only i.e. any person who does not derive nor has ever derived his or her main income or a substantial income as a teacher and/or performer in the particular category of performing arts for which he/she wishes to enter.
  • An amateur refers to a person whose principal source of income is not and has not been derived from the exercise or teaching of dance. Performers must enter and compete in their own age group, and no competing below age is permitted.
  • Performers may enter an age group older than their own, if a genre isn’t available in their own age group. No person may enter under a name other than their own, and entries are not transferable.
  • Performers must be ready to compete in the order in which their name appears in the program and will not be allowed to compete out of section.No performer will be allowed to compete more than once in any solo section unless sections are combined.
  • Competitors must be aware of copyright responsibilities. Everybody Sing and Dance Now is in no way responsible for personal breach of copyright. If in doubt APRA and  AMCOS may be contacted directly.
  • Entries close, when we are full, please submit entries as early as possible online. Online payment will be by PayPal or direct debit​

  • It is the responsibility of the entrants, teacher, parent or carer to list the correct section numbers on entry. The Committee accepts no responsibility for incorrect entries received.
  • Entry fees are not refundable unless the section is cancelled by Everybody Sing and Dance Now or there is an error in programming.
  • Unless otherwise stated, any one item may be performed once only by a competitor during the Event - except for Shining Stars.
  • ​Time limits must be observed. These are the maximum - an item may be shorter than the limit but not exceed it. Should time limits be exceeded, the adjudicator will penalise.
  • ​Everybody Sing and Dance Now reserves the right to cancel, combine or split any section/s.
  • ​Everybody Sing and Dance Now reserves the right to appoint a new adjudicator should it be deemed necessary.
  • ​ If there are not  two performers in a section, that section will be merged with another section or cancelled.
  • ​The decision of the adjudicator is final.
  • ​Prompting, except by an adjudicator is not permitted.
  • ​ Performers who have been pupils of an adjudicator within six months prior to event start date will only be eligible for report ONLY.
  • ​Unless specifically invited by the adjudicator, contact must not be made directly by teachers, competitors or parents.
  • ​Mobile phones must be switched off in backstage and change room areas at all venues. No cameras allowed in these areas. Mobile phones, cameras and video recorders.No photographs during a performance.
  • ​ Any item having to withdraw after entering must notify Everybody Sing and Dance Now as soon as possible to ensure smooth programming of the event.
  • ​Performers must be present at the beginning of the session as withdrawals may alter the order of appearance. Due to this, it is unwise to anticipate exact performance times.
  • ​Any protest or objection must be referred to Jenny  within 30 minutes of the Adjudicator's decision In the case of a dispute arising in respect of the age of any competitor and his/her eligibility to appear in any age grouping.
  • Everybody Sing and Dance Now reserves the right to request a copy of the birth certificate of that competitor.
  • Anonymous letters will NOT be considered and if there is any out pouring on Social Media in bullying a performer, parent, teacher, volunteer or adjudicator. Whoever is responsible will not be able to enter an Everybody Sing and Dance Now event, again.
  • Every care will be taken for competitors' safety, but Everybody Sing and Dance Now will not be responsible for any injuries sustained by any performer and or damage to property during the Event.
  • Teachers please note - there will be no additions to the printed program unless the omission is the fault of Everybody Sing and Dance Now.
  • ​Everybody Sing and Dance Now has the right to amend the program at any time.
  • ​Performers and/or winner's names and/or photographs may be used on our social media and in the media. Should this not be appropriate the EBSDN office MUST BE notified.
  • ​Everybody Sing and Dance Now has the power to decide any question not contained in these rules and regulations.
  • ​Failure to comply wholly or partly with any of the rules and regulations may result in disqualification or the withholding of prizes. The decision of Everybody Sing and Dance Now on any question or dispute shall be absolutely final.
  • ​Performers must change in their designated area - No public area to be used for changing.
  • ​The use of the house curtain is prohibited.
  • ​Props must be free standing and able to be quickly placed on the stage. No props that cause debris ie. talc powder, confetti, glitter or popping of balloons is allowed.
  • ​Duo and Trio sections, performers may perform three times in these sections. In duos and  trios, the eldest performer must enter the relevant age section.
  • All performers must have at least one backup copy of their music on them... just in case.
  • ​Should a performer (11 years and under ) leave the stage as a result of having forgotten their routine, they may be permitted to reappear on discretion of the adjudicator, but it will be for a report only.
  • ​No Tags will be played by audio operator.
  • ​No performer is to perform anywhere other than the stage area. This includes entry, exits and absolutely NO jumping off the stage.
  • ​The right to call upon any PERFORMER or studio to furnish a birth certificate or copy thereof and to withhold any prize until such certificate has been furnished.
  • ​Inappropriate and suggestive movement, costuming and /or obscene language is not permitted, as the Adjudicator may comment and/or penalise.
