EBSDN AT A GLANCE

As at 10th January 2022 we will be allocating TWO tickets per family in your solo|duo|trio performer registration fee.

Solos| Duos| Trios: each competition will have 50 extra tickets which can be purchased online via Try Booking, once sold there are no more.

Troupes will be allocated ONE guest ticket in the performer registration fee, ONLY up until 1st September 2021.

EBSDN will then move to Performer Fee of $15.00 per performer and a Spectator Fee for everyone that attends - Per Day $20.00

These can all be purchased via Try Booking which we will send a link to Studio Directors and Teachers, when they enter Troupes. It is up to the parent to pay the performer fee and their spectator tickets.

EBSDN runs under the COVID SAFE PLAN FOR NSW and QLD LIVE PERFORMANCE VENUES |THEATERS.

We will be practicing hygiene and social distancing measures according to this plan.

Please stay at home and do not attend EBSDN if you are showing any signs of COVID-19. Fever, a cough, raspy sore throat, fatigue, shortness of breath and we will always encourage you to check in with the NSW or QLD QR Check In Code.

CLEANING - Between age groups we will be cleaning, we ask that if you are remaining at the venue, please leave something on the seat. It will save us on time, if we do not have to keep cleaning your chairs.

PROPS - Please keep them to a minimum, any large props we will ask you to put them on stage yourselves and to take them straight to the car after you have used them, they are NOT to be left inside the venue unattended.

WARMING UP - Please bring your own yoga|stretch mat for warm up or stretching.

Pease minimise sitting or stretching on the inside floor areas when possible and remember to KEEP out of the eyeline of the adjudicator.

Please do NOT use the change areas to rehearse in, except for Wollongong as there is ample room.

CHANGE ROOMS are STRICTLY get in, get changed and get out.

MINGINLING - We do ask that no standing or gathering in groups inside to chat.

If you would like to do that, please take it outside.

We ask guests and performers to remain seated and to minimise walking around at all times.

BACKSTAGE - We do ask that NO parents or teachers backstage, for solos and duos.

We will call for our next sections to come back and our backstage manager will send anyone back to their seats if they come back too early.

SINGERS - All singers will need a microphone cover, we will have them for sale at front desk.

KEEPING OUR HANDS CLEAN - Regular hand washing is still our best health protection and we highly encourage it. We will have reminder signs about washing your hands. All performers must sanitise their hands before they go on stage and after they have performed. We also ask that after your performers have danced 4 performances, they head to the bathroom to actually wash their hands as well.

SANITISER - We will have sanitiser available at the hall entrance, side stage and backstage. Teachers, we do ask you to bring your own as well.

INCOMPLETE ACT - An act that is incomplete will not be eligible to return to the stage unless it is the result of a technical issue or costume malfunction. If the routine is more than half completed, the adjudicators will have already scored the routine. They score from the first moment the performer walks onto stage.

PROMPTING - or demonstrating during a performance of any item, except for competitors aged 6 years and under, is strictly prohibited.

Failure to comply will result in 5 points being deducted.

ARRIVAL - You will notice we have given you a start time, please note we will commence the day sharply at that time.

We try to run to time as much as we can and if your performer is not there we will continue as per order, please note times can change due to performers not showing up.

Please be advised that there is no coffee, tea or hot chocolate in change areas due to performers getting changed and spillage.
Audiences are asked to please place their rubbish in bins provided there is a venue cleaning fee of $300.

We also ask that each performer brings a travel rug or a beach towel to change and sit on, in the change room.

PLEASE NOTE - If anyone is found to be recording a performance, it is a 5 POINT DEDUCTION. EBSDN reserves the right to disqualify the act being recorded and will automatically be disqualified, with or without notifying - parent or teacher.

We are bound by this rule to comply with our code of conduct.

CHOREOGRAPHY OWNERSHIP – If a student has left a Studio please ensure you have permission from past choreographers or teachers to be able to continue to perform the routines. EBSDN will not get involved in this, we simply ask that the right thing is done. Thank you to those that have notified me and adjusted routines.

Major Awards will be given out at EBSDN Final Showcase at our January and Noosa Competitions.

Major Awards at our other competitions will be done in their age groups, at the end of the day.

All competitors automatically give consent upon entering EBSDN to use official photographers or media gained during EBSDN events for promotion of current or future EBSDN competitions through websites or other social media sites.
